Sr. Procurement Manager

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Manager of Procurement with a strong solar industry background to join the Suntuity Sourcing team.  Our candidate should have a proven track record of success building strategic vendor partnerships that deliver value to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquiring and selling products to employee’s existing contacts in addition to fostering and growing relationships with the Company’s partners and dealers
  • Developing and expanding on the Company’s procurement and sales partner base
  • Acquiring additional partners to qualify for the Company’s dealer base
  • Acquiring channel sales for the Company dealer programs
  • Planning and organizing purchasing activities ensuring low total cost of ownership and high-quality procurement of direct, indirect, or outsourced materials, services, or goods required to meet the needs of Suntuity
  • Negotiate residential and commercial service criteria and develop contracts and agreements for the purchase and sale of inventory for the company and its partners, in alignment with corporate policies and procedures, which ensure competitive pricing and which fully protect the company against missed deliverables, poor quality, and other performance and/or supplier issues that might adversely affect our organization
  • Managing contractual commitments and supplier assessments, ensuring all purchases are consistent with quality and delivery requirements
  • Analyzing, developing and delivering timely cost information
  • Reporting and communicating Procurement activities
  • Providing supply-based market intelligence to internally to our leadership team
  • Assessing existing suppliers and potential suppliers
  • Overseeing the tracking of supplier metrics and communicating performance
  • Managing vendor relationships and building effective partnerships
  • Understanding emergence of new supplier or product offerings in the solar channel

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management / Finance / Business / Engineering or related field
  • 6-8 years of related Procurement or relevant Supply Chain experience in the Solar Industry 
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively both internally and externally
  • Excellent coordination, organization and planning skills
  • Advanced negotiation skills and experience implementing supply agreements
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver result in a timely manner
